Welcome to Person Centered Tech

Welcome to personcentered.tech! This website hosts everything I’ve written about educational technology. So far, I’ve published two articles, a column, a dissertation, and a cover story. (My regular job is at a wonderful elementary school where I facilitate technology and manage the library.)

This website is an ongoing work in progress and more content will appear intermittently. Feel free to click any of the navigation links to your right to find out more.

Update – “Best Practices in Online Credit Recovery” published in the February 2017 issue of TechEdge

This article combines established research and my own experience to provide practical suggestions for school districts to improve their online credit recovery programs.

Update – TCEA SysAdmin Conference 2016

At TCEA’s System Administrator Conference, I facilitated a session titled “Working with the Digitally Challenged”. I provided practical techniques for working with teachers, administrators and district personnel who struggle with using and understanding technology. As usual, the attendees made this session great – participants offered great ideas and shared information about effective programs going on in their districts.

Update – my first cover story

This summer, Texas School Business Magazine chose my article as the cover piece for their July/August issue. I’m especially proud of crafting a rhyming title – What’s Trending in Technology Spending.

Update – TCEA Convention 2016

Our panel on trends in educational technology integration was an excellent discussion on the present (and future) state of technology in K-12 schools. Thanks to Rachel Quetti from K-12techdecisions for organizing the panel, and also to Alexis Cline from TCEA for getting us all together.
